Auditorium and Pods

The Auditorium is a large versatile room with excellent sight lines and acoustics. It can accommodate up to 250 people seated. However, the room is equally comfortable with smaller groups. The facilities in this space are numerous and include 10 pods each containing 3 work stations with PCs, offering the use of up to 30 computers. Seminar Room

The seminar room can accommodate more than 20 people seated for presentations or up to 10 people boardroom style. This room can also be equipped with PCs for training purposes. Technology in the Meeting Room includes...

Foyer

This light and airy space can provide seating for up to 40 people and standing room for up to 80 people and is ideal for a reception area with refreshments. It has a wall-hung plasma screen and a range of glass display cabinets. This area is Ideal for free-standing and/or wall hung exhibitions. There is a digital display identifying the amount of energy generated and the amount of energy being used. Biomes

There are 4 Biomes with separate access at the rear of the building. These replicate 3 ecosystems including arid, Mediterranean and Lakeland climates. This facility is ideal for study or for general viewing and are a delight to those who are interested in plants and gardening. Interpretative tours of the biomes can be arranged. The Biomes include:

  • Arid –Cacti including species such as...

  • Mediterranean – Moisture loving plants including banana, fig, olives, peppers and    a vine.

  • Lakeland – Local plants including heathers, grasses and ….. which are seen    growing on fell tops and in the local area.

    • Catering

    The Eco Centre has its own well equipped kitchen for those who wish to provide their own refreshments or outside catering. We can also arrange for refreshments to be provided. Please visit the catering page for more information.
